About the Library
            The Padmabhushan Vasantraodada Patil Mahavidyalaya library was established in 1978. The Library is considered as an integral part in the academic activities of the Mahavidyalaya. It has a collection of more than 70,000 books 60 periodicals (national & international) in subjects like Social Sciences, Hindi, Marathi, English, Economics, Geography, Political Science, etc. The Library provides services to all the students, teaching, non-teaching staff of this Mahavidyalaya. The printing, scanning facility is available in the Library. The library is equipped with INFLIBNET facilities. The Library operations are fully automated with Library Management software.

             Reading hall : 1st floor
             Stack room, Circulation section ,Periodicals section & Internet facility : 2nd floor

Collection and Resources

The library collection consists of books, textbooks, reference books, back volumes of periodicals, e-journals, online database, CDs, etc.. 


There is open access system in the library. Books are arranged according to Dewey Decimal classification scheme as per convenience of the users easy access. The users through the OPAC facility and DDC easily access the location and status of the books. 

Display of New Arrivals

New books are displayed on New Arrival Board at the entrance. These books are issued to users as per demand. 
Reference Book Collections

Reference books include encyclopedias, dictionaries, rare & costly books, can be referred only in the reading room.
